Essex Medieval Heritage Society is a non-profit organization in the Windsor Ontario area whose members are dedicated to promote an awareness of and appreciation for our medieval heritage.
EMHS conducts living history presentations on a small scale for schools and, on a large scale for outdoors-public venues. Our Members portray medieval lifestyles dating from late 700 AD to 1600 AD. Our displays include clothing, weapons, armor, fiber arts, calligraphy, illumination, household goods and much more.
The success of our presentations depends heavily on the volunteer work of our members.
Many ancient crafts cannot be learned quickly and require a substantial personal investment of time, and effort.
If you are a educator (especially grade 4)or just someone who secretly wanted to be a knight or a lady, you can contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by finding us on facebook,or by coming out to a meeting night.
We meet weekly at the Scout Shop at 3550 Marentette in Windsor Ont. every Friday night from 7-9pm for fencing and Sunday at 7PM to 10 PM
